Important information about fraudulent Red Cross / Red Crescent websites and emails


There are a number of emails currently in circulation, which have been picked up by several job websites, claiming to be from the Red Cross Red Crescent, requesting payments to sign up for training programmes. This is a fraudulent enterprise that is using ICRC's name to extort money. If you receive any unsolicited emails which look suspicious, please treat them with caution. Only information found on the ICRC website, www.icrc.org, is valid. In case of any doubt, do not hesitate to write to us:

Moreover, there are a number of fraudulent websites which are using the Red Cross / Red Crescent emblems to request donations for disaster relief. Please treat these websites as suspicious.
