Central African Republic: Violence increasing in Bangui, access to injured threatened

The intensifying violence in Bangui, the capital of Central African Republic, and elsewhere in the country is cause for grave concern.

The ICRC's head of delegation in Bangui describes in words and photos the dire situation of people enduring multiple displacements, and how the non-respect of arms bearers to allow access to the wounded on the spot is at times preventing humanitarian medical staff from carrying out their lifesaving work.
