ICRC action in Africa

Patricia Danzi, ICRC's Regional Director for Africa, says 40% or more of ICRC operations are in Africa. The geographical focuses of ICRC in Africa includes Lake Chad region, South Sudan, Somalia, Central Africa Republic, Mali and Libya. In Africa, ICRC endeavors to provide assistance to IDPs, visit detainees and engage with various non-state armed groups.
